Professor Jae-hoon Kim's research on quantum chimera superconductors was selected for the Basic Science field of Samsung's Future Technology Development Project in the second half of 2021.
This study is intended to implement a quantum chimera superconductor (Quantum Chimera Superconductor) in which the s-wave gap symmetry is converted to p-wave gap symmetry by constructing a heterogeneous junction between the BCS superconductor and the quantum spin liquid (Quantum Spin Liquid) or quantum spin ice(Quantum Spin Ice)material.
